The Captain and I once again had a very enjoyable game on Sunday against Brian Pennington and Dave Snell. After we took an early three up lead, Dave and Brian gradually pegged the match back to all square and we played up the last hole with that score line! Brian had a 12 footer for a nett birdie which slid past the hole and I managed to hole my 3 foot birdie to take the match. This win has put us fourth in the league table which can be seen by clicking here.

Next week we are taking on team Davies, Davies, Johnstone, Olsen and Magee who I am sure will give us a good game!


 

Pro's Christmas Draw - This Friday - 7pm 

A final reminder that this Friday is my Christmas Prize Draw. We have carol singers along with mulled wine, mince pies and nibbles, so I look forward to seeing you all on Friday. 

Tickets can be bought on the night before the draw.

How has Jim Changed His Swing? 

Jim has been working had at changing his swing over the past few months. Historically he has suffered from a big slice especially with the driver due to the clubface being open at impact and a steep, out-to-in swing. 

To help Jim straighten out his ball flight, firstly we altered his grip and wrist position at the top of the swing in order to get the clubface more closed, as can be seen in the pictures below. 

Secondly, we flattened the plane of both his backswing and downswing to encourage a more in-to-out club path.
