Congratulations to Don Crawshaw for winning the fourth round of the Simister Cup with a fantastic score of 23 points. The other three qualifiers for the final with great scores of 21 points were Bill Bennett, Trevor Rathbone and Andy Wells.
It was nice to get out and play the first Winter League match for over a month! The Captain and I took on Gavin Elly and Bob Anderson. We took an early 5 up lead before Gavin and Bob pegged us back to 2 up with 6 to play. We managed to stop the rot and won 3 and 2. Thanks for the game Bob and Gavin, we both enjoyed your company.
The league table has changed slightly with team Foden/Lane/Peck/Stanyer/Fesmer two points ahead of The Captain and I, Team Elly/Anderson/Foden/Gosling/Dibble, team Edwards/Pugh/Simpkins and team Barber/Wells/Wright.

How did Derek use the K-Vest 7 to change his swing? Derek was one of my first lessons to get access to the K-Vest so I thought I would use him as an example of how the technology can help your golf swing.
Derek has been struggling to maintain his posture in the backswing (see left picture). He has a tendency to stand up as he takes the club back.
Click here to view his K-Vest report
As you will see from the K-Vest report, part of the reason that this is happening is his tendency to over rotate both his hips and shoulders as he swings back. This causes him to swing the club over the top in the down swing.
You will see in the picture of Derek on the right, he is now managing to keep his hips more stable, which is leading to him not turning his shoulders as far back.
How did he make this change? As you can see from the picture below, Derek used the biofeedback setting on K-Vest to get into the correct position. Any time he was in the correct position, the computer does two things:
1) Plays music
2) The screen goes green
Having the visual and auditory cues available speed up the learning process so that you can get your swing where it needs to be in a shorter space of time!
