How has Nigel changed his swing?
Nigel has been working hard on his swing this winter and has made some dramatic changes. Historically Nigel has suffered from an over the top, steep downswing which has caused a high, left to right ball flight.
After some initial analysis, we discovered the root cause of the problem was an open clubface at the top of the swing and in the downswing. This resulted in an over the top swing (the cause of the slice) and an early release (cause of the high ball flight).
As you can see in the picture above, Nigel now has now managed to flatten the plane of his swing which has led to a change in the club path from an average of 5 degrees left (which causes a slice) to 4 degrees right (a requirement to hit a draw)
