Simister Cup Final
A good field entered on Saturday with very pleasant conditions all morning. The late afternoon groups got rather wet, but the re-run of the competition was completed.
The winner of the Simister Cup was Harrison Peck with 36 points with Paul Ellis second on 35 points after a card play off with Mike Davies and Luke Foden.
The subsidiary stableford saw Ed Clapham romp home with 41 points followed by Paul Penney on 37 points and, again on card play off, the Captain on 36 points. Others on 36 points were Rick Ford and Bernie Cummings.
Ed saw his handicap of 23 reduced to 18 - well done Ed, an excellent performance.

How has Spencer changed his swing?
Spencer recently came for a lesson as he was struggling to strike the ball consistently. After looking at the video analysis and K-Vest data, we could see that spencer was over rotating his hips in the backswing and dropping his left hip down too low as you can see in the picture below:
From this position it was incredibly difficult for Spencer to get his body turning enough in the downswing which was causing him to hit the ground before the ball.
As you can see from the data below, spencer is now keeping his lower body more stable. 24 degrees less hip rotation and 17 degrees less pelvis side bend. This has led to a shorter swing. This is also allowing him to rotate his body through much earlier than before, leading to a better strike.
If you would like to change your swing like Spencer, please

£9.99 for all new customers.
