Pro's Day Rearranged

Unfortunately the weather got the better of my Pro's Day on Saturday, it has been rearranged for Saturday 30th July - spaces are filling up fast! 

Ladies Betterball Stableford 

Congratulations to Sue Kendrick and Yvonne Grundy for winning the ladies betterball stableford with a score of 37 points.

 

How has Ben increased his clubhead speed? 

Ben came for a lesson to find out why he had lost some distance. After looking at the K-Vest data we noticed a lack of hip turn in the backswing (K-Vest data shows it was 14 degrees), this made it difficult for him to generate any speed with his body in the downswing which resulted in a swing where the power was mainly being created by the arms.

   

  

As you can see in the "after" picture, Ben is now turning his hips further (K-Vest data shows 31 degrees) which resulted in a more powerful downswing rotation and more clubhead speed. In the lesson Ben's clubhead speed average went from 75 mph to 80.5 mph resulting in a considerable increase in distance.
