Coaching news

Slice to Draw in 30 minutes

John came for a lesson last week as he was suffering from a slice with his driver. We quickly diagnosed that the cause of this was an open clubface at impact and an 'over the top swing'.

Following this diagnosis, we started by helping John to get the feeling of how to close the club face in the downswing. Once this was happening we were seeing a lot of shots going to the left of the target, which made it easy for him to change the plane of the swing as can be seen in the pictures below.

As you can see the 'after' photo the plane of the swing is now flatter, which has led to a more 'in-to- out' swing path helping him to hit a draw.

If you would like to cure your slice, please click here to book a lesson, we offer an introductory lesson to all new customers for £9.99.
