Competition results

Gent’s Monthly Medal

The September monthly medal was won by division 2 winner Paul Gosling who shot a nett 64. Simon Edbury won division 2 with a nett 65.

Runners up and also qualifiers were Andy Slater nett 69 in division 1 and John Kendrick nett 66 in division 2.


Lady President’s Day

Lady President's Day finally got under way on Tuesday, and while we didn't get wall to wall sunshine, it was certainly better than the deluge of a couple of weeks ago!

Liz McGuire won with 34 points with Gwyn Holt second with 33 points and Anne Thornber third with 32 points.

Margaret Sumner won the 9 hole competition.

Waving someone through
DO THE RIGHT THING

If you find yourself holding up the group behind then we always advise that you invite them to play through with a quick wave, like in this photo. If you don’t it can not only delay that group, but it’s likely to hold up the groups behind them too.

MYTH BUSTER

It’s a common myth that single players have no standing on the course. The truth is that they must be treated the same as any two-ball, three-ball or four-ball when it comes to pace of play etiquette and waving them through.
