Pro’s 9 Hole Stableford

Congratulations to Mike Troup and Steve Bennett for winning divisions one and two the Pro’s 9 Hole Stableford with scores of 18 and 21 points respectively.

Winter League

The newly elected Captain, Pete Wood and I played the 6th round of the Winter League on Sunday against Aled Jones and Simon Allen. I think they would be the first to admit that they did not bring their best golf on the day! Pete and I dovetailed nicely to finish the match on the 11th.

It is getting tight at the top with 4 teams in with a chance of winning. Teams Foden/Ford, Lee/Edbury/Aston/Hills, Captain/Pro and Davies/Johnstone/Featherstone/Olsen.

Next week we are playing Craig Aston and Simon Edbury some would call it a six pointer!

Coaching trip

Trip to PGA Catalunya – 7th -10th March 2019

I am pleased to say we are now a group of ten travelling to Spain in March to play at Spain’s top ranked course. We still have space for a few more so if you are interested please contact me.

Do you spot a trend?

We all want to enjoy playing golf, and a big part of this is lowering our handicap. Yes, there will be times when your game isn't up to scratch and you go up .1 a few times in a row, but there'll also be times when all of the puzzle pieces fit and your handicap tumbles.
