Congratulations to Tim Hoare and Gerald Tatlock for winning week one of the Winter 9 Hole Stableford Series with 20 and 21 points respectively. It was a wet day to say the least but the scoring was impressive.

Winter League

The Vice Captain and I had a great game against Mike Fox and Ian Pearce on Sunday and unfortunately lost on the last! Thanks once again to everyone who attended the ball draw and presentation afterwards.

Srixon Fitting Cart Delivered

I am pleased to say that I have taken delivery of the Srixon Fitting Cart. They have a great range of irons and woods to try. If you would like to give them a go, please book in for a FREE, no obligation fitting session by clicking here.

How has Gary Smith Improved His Ball Striking?

Gary has been working hard on his game over the past 12 months. With both irons and woods, Gary has a tendency to hit shots off the heel of the club. Not only does this affect the direction of the shot but also the distance.

As you can see in the photo on the left below, he had a tendency to return with his hands closer to the ball than where they started. Gary has worked hard on relaxing his arms to allow them to drop down from the top of the back swing which has helped him to strike all shots closer to the sweet spot on the club

If you would like to improve your ball striking, please click here to book a lesson. We offer an introductory 30 minute lesson for £9.99.

TaylorMade Rsi

Research suggests 76% of all golf shots are mis-hits, so we welcome technology that can help any loose ones less damaging and, therefore, lower our scores. In this video we speak to TaylorMade’s Executive Vice President, Sean Toulon, who explains how its Speed Pocket will help improve performance on shots that don’t come off the centre of the clubface… and we all hit a few of those!
