Congratulations to Steve Lomas and Billy Bennett for winning the divisions one and two respectively of the winter stableford with scores of 19 and 20 points.
How has Steve Lomas changed his swing and gained distance?
Steve has been working hard on his swing over the winter. His main problem was that he had an early release of the club (Also known as a cast). This can be seen in the picture on the left hand side. This can lead to inconsistent striking (hitting the ground before the ball and thin shots) and a high, unpenetrating ball flight.

As you can see in the picture on the right hand side, Steve has dramatically improved and is now releasing the club later which has improved his ball striking and helped him gain extra clubhead speed and distance as can be seen in the table on the right.
