Gent's Simister Cup - Round 1 

After a foggy start, some very good scoring took place in cool but dry conditions, with 11 players under par. In third place was Andy Slater on 40 points, runner up (again) was Mike Fox on 41 points, but the winner with a fantastic 43 points (gross round of 65) was Harrison Peck, which included three 2s. 

A special mention must go to Pete Burns, who had a hole-in-one on the 8th hole (unfortunately for Pete, he didn't see it go in!). 


Ladies Monthly Medal 

Final Congratulations to Olwen Davies for winning the monthly medal final with a nett 75. Marion Hall won the subsidiary Stableford with 28 points

Two holes in one on the same hole?! 

Congratulations to Bill Fisher and Mike Magee who were playing together last Monday and both recorded hole in ones on the 6th hole! The odds of this happening are believed to be in the region of 25 million to one. Some people are saying it is about time that this happened as they have probably played the hole that number of times! 

Mark Engles was the third member of the group and he could only manage a birdie two!
