Last Saturday was the first week of the Winter Stableford Series. We had a fantastic turnout with 46 players taking part, a new record! 

Mike Davies and Bill Bennett won divisions one and two of the gent's competition with scores of 20 and 22 respectively. 

Lisa Burns won the ladies section with 20 points. 

Well done to you all!


 

How Has Derek Changed His Swing? 

Derek has been working hard at his swing over the past year. He started coming for lessons due to a lack of consistency in contact and direction. As you can see in the picture below, the main cause for these problems was a steep, over the top downswing leading to a slice.

     

As you can see in the right hand picture he is now swinging on a much better plane leading to a straighter ball flight.
