Winter League Round Up 

We were very fortunate to get round 18 holes on Sunday morning, the forecast was looking terrible but after 5 holes the rain eased off! The Vice Captain and I had a very enjoyable game with Dave Lee and Bill Fisher. After going two up early on Bill and Dave played some fantastic golf to turn the game around and we were two down with four to play. With the pressure on we managed to win three of the last four holes to win the match. 

This is my fourth winter league and this is the first time that our team have won the first two matches! Hopefully we can keep our run of form going. 

Team Foden/Elly/Gosling/Dibble/Anderson and Stanyer/Lane/Peck/Foden are also both unbeaten after two matches.


 

Course Conditions Warning 

Due to all of the rain we have had over the past week there have been a few people slipping on the slopes on the course so please take care. It is also worth checking your spikes. Metal spikes are much more effective in the winter. 

We offer a FREE spike fitting service if you purchase the spikes from us, so drop your shoes into the shop and we will change them within 24 hours.
